Description
To make the behavior closer to conventional IRC clients, i think there should be an option to autohide parted channels (unhiding them when rejoined, as requested in Bug #866). This could either be implemented as an extra command/button ("Quit and hide"), or a switch in the preferences to switch between "Part only" and "Part and hide" functionality. Should be available as text command, right-click command and toolbar button.
I think the current behavior is confusing, especially for users of other clients.
