Bug #1531
confusing and incorrect translations by translation memory
0%
Description
In Japanese, many labels are translated into same text even if they are different in original (English).
Since the originals have similar words, it seems to be caused by translation memory or machine translation.
As a result, some menus contain duplicated items and some buttons have incorrect labels.
For example: (former translation is applied to latter ones)
- "Topic Widget" = "Input Widget" (screenshot attached)
- "Marker line:" = "Set Marker Line", "Go to Marker Line"
- "Join Channel" = "Kick From Channel", "Ban From Channel"
Although I fixed .po file, transifiex silently ignores it when I upload. They say the upload option is disabled in crowdsourced projects. <https://docs.transifex.com/translation/importing-translations/>
I attach the po file here so that anyone with sufficient privileges can upload it.
