For example, a checkbox that will switch the auto-identify from sending a PRIVMSG to NickServ, to instead identifying upon initial server connection.

To clarify:
In the "Networks" settings, under the "Auto Identify" tab, I propose that a checkbox be added within the "Auto Identify" groupbox, probably above or to the right of the "Service:" textbox, that reads "Send as server password" or so. Selecting this would disable the "Service" textbox.
