Description
I had a chat with #quassel last night on chat logs by Quassel. Currently, it logs to an SQLite database, but these logs are not easily readable by humans (or greppable by programs) and IIRC when I close a channel window, all logs are gone.
This is one of the things blocking me from switching from irssi to Quassel. I may be able to add this to 3.0-git myself, maybe, if you think it's OK for me to try. ;)

as discussed on irc:
there will be live search in the client, client based search in the backlog and a way to dump buffers to a file. but logging to files not as quassel core is intended to be multiuser capable... so either all users need access to the core and everyone would easily be capable tor ead others logs
