It's not possible to hide a channel in most messaging platforms based on whether the user has been highlighted or not. However, you can use certain tools and settings to manage notifications and prioritize important conversations.
For example, in Slack, you can use the "Do Not Disturb" feature to mute notifications for a particular channel until you are mentioned or receive a direct message. You can also adjust your notification preferences to only receive alerts for certain keywords or phrases.
In Discord, you can customize your notification settings for each server and channel, including muting channels until you are mentioned or receive a direct message.
Additionally, some third-party apps and plugins may provide more advanced features for managing and prioritizing your messaging notifications based on specific criteria.
