Description

Using Quassel Core 0.10.0 on an RHEL6 or CentOS 6 server, which now default to rsyslogd, all quassel core log messages end up getting sent to STDOUT when the --syslog option is used.

In order to squelch them, I had to turn off emergency messages by editing /etc/rsyslog.conf and commenting out the line:
*.emerg *

which removes all emergency messages.

This is not an ideal situation but was the only way to squelch the messages. Please log to syslog on a non-emergency level.
