Description

It would be nice to have an easy way of turning a flow of /msg into a /query, preferable with creating/retaining chat history.
For example a simple click on on a nickname in the bufferview could open a new query.

This does contain a nice idea (not sure how feasible it is yet).

have an easy way of turning a flow of /msg into a /query, preferable with creating/retaining chat history.

I'm reading this as you "/msg userB hey!" and then decide you actually want to start a logged query, so you open a query (various ways to do so); but you're now missing your first message in the backlog. Maybe a /msg can be brought into the backlog if a query is opened within 'x' seconds.

As to the second thought (click on a nickname in the bufferview to open a query); this is implemented for both chat view and nick list (not sure as of which version, but I know it works on 0.13-pre).
