Broken notifications when Quassel minimized on KDE

Description
When i minimize Quassel to system tray, I don't get any notifications when I am highlighted (no sound, no popup, window isn't highlighted in tray, Quassel icon in tray isn't "active"). The channel and chat line are marked correctly after opening the window so Quassel knows about the highlight, it's just the notification missing.
Notifications work normally when Quassel window is closed or in the background.
Tested on 2 computers, both Kubuntu 16.10.
